This role involves delivering expert forestry knowledge and guidance to a diverse range of stakeholders, including non-industrial private forest landowners, industrial forest landowners, forest landowner associations, county conservation districts, local offices of the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), conservation organizations, as well as students from schools and colleges. The position is focused on supporting forestry educational initiatives and responding to requests for information and advice related to forestry practices and management.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday - Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Friday. with a 30-minute lunch.
- This is a shared position between Susquehannock State Forest and Tioga State Forest. The reporting location will be Susquehannock State Forest, 3150 E. Second Street, Coudersport, PA 16915. Time will be divided equally between both State Forests.
- This position may require travel and overtime as needed.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of technical forestry experience, and an associate’s degree in forest technology, forestry, forest management, forest ecosystem management, urban forestry, forest science, agroforestry, or a related forestry degree; or
- A bachelor’s degree in forest technology, forestry, forest management, forest ecosystem management, urban forestry, forest science, agroforestry, or a related forestry degree; or
- A master’s degree in forest technology, forestry, forest management, forest ecosystem management, urban forestry, forest science, agroforestry, or a related forestry degree.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of a valid PA non- commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.

- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
