DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Licensing Specialist, you will examine, analyze, and evaluate applications for different types of licenses and permits based on laws, amendments, regulations, precedents, and policies controlling all aspects of alcohol production, distribution, and consumption within the Commonwealth. This includes reviewing applications and supporting documents for correctness and eligibility to determine subsequent approval or denial of each. You will be expected to summarize discrepancies, prepare correspondence, request investigations, and process cases to final conclusion as well as submit complex or unusual cases for upper-lever review and advice when necessary. Communication skills are essential as you will also answer inquiries and provide requested case status to applicants, licensees, attorneys, legislators, and agency personnel including the Executive staff. Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Work hours may be negotiable.
- Telework : You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to four days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
