DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Medical Records Director for the Department of Corrections, you will direct the facility department that is responsible for the establishment, classification, and maintenance of medical records and documents. This includes developing and implementing facility policies and procedures required to ensure proper medical records completion and maintenance and compliance with accrediting and certifying agencies' requirements. Work requires a high degree of accuracy due to the frequency of multiple classification or cross references in a single case. Duties include supervision of a clerical and technical staff engaged in the maintenance of complex medical case histories.
This Director role works under an administrative supervisor who leads our compliance with departmental and facility policies and procedures and reviews work through reports, conferences, and inspections. Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 7 : 30 AM to 3 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
