DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the public at the park office and throughout the entire park complex. As you navigate through the parks, your responsibilities will include promoting the safe utilization of state park facilities by engaging with visitors, offering them essential information, or guiding them to the appropriate personnel for additional assistance or inquiries.
You will assist in the daily operations of the office, which involves handling phone calls, operating radio communications, and utilizing various office equipment. Your duties will also encompass researching park-related information, issuing permits for watercraft and firewood, and completing other administrative tasks as assigned by your supervisor or the Park Manager.
Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering educational programs focused on environmental, historical, and other park-related topics as directed. This will involve conducting research to develop interpretive materials and organizing volunteer projects to enhance park initiatives.
Your role will also include performing maintenance tasks such as litter collection, sign painting, trail marking, and other duties assigned by your supervisor or the Park Manager. You will maintain Commonwealth vehicles and automotive records by accurately completing vehicle operating logs, managing oil and gas supplies, ensuring vehicle fluids are at recommended levels, checking and adjusting tire pressure, reporting any vehicle issues, and regularly cleaning and washing assigned vehicles.
Monitoring State Park facilities and visitors will be part of your responsibilities, which may involve patrolling on foot, by vehicle, bicycle, or boat. You will help ensure compliance with park rules and regulations by courteously informing visitors of these guidelines while adhering to the policies set forth by the Bureau and Department.
In emergency situations, you will be expected to take appropriate action, which may include providing First Aid / CPR, directing traffic, participating in search and rescue operations, and carrying out other tasks as assigned by your supervisor or the Park Manager.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Seasonal, full-time employment without benefits.
- Will work 5 days per week 37.5 hrs / shifts-days will vary based on operational needs, to include holidays and weekends.
