What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Infrastructure Specialist position at Commonwealth Rolled Products, Inc.?
Responsibilities Include:
- Adhere to all Health and Safety programs, including taking personal ownership over daily actions that drive to a zero (0) incident culture.

- Assist in the operation and maintenance of all information technology digital and telecommunications equipment, printers, copiers and fax machines including desktop configurations, software installations, desktop imaging, software and hardware inventory management, patch management, desktop management, remote desktop support and new hire orientation.
- Responsible for troubleshooting for all LAN/WAN/Wireless alerts and issues.
- Responsible for the application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.
- Maintain all network layer 1-3 documentation, IP/VLAN/subnet planning documents as well as OV-1, Dataflow, etc.
- Provide Tier 2 user support for company IT and Telephony networks, with Response and Return to Service times as documented in the internal Service Level Agreement.
- Maintenance of accurate records in the Help Desk Ticketing system Maintain network servers and associated hardware, software, services, and settings
- Support global ITIL processes and IT Service Management tolls that deliver Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration and Asset Management. Identify ways to simplify and streamline existing IT processes.
- Consistently monitor and troubleshoot network stability and performance.
- Write technical support documentation for network systems and applications
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of work experience in related IT field, can be a combination or internships and co-ops
- Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts and computing infrastructures
- Strong communication skills for training and assisting users
- Ability to analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve IT issues, including software applications
- Experienced support person with outstanding customer service skills, sense of urgency and willing to take the initiative
- Ability to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and forward
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VLANs
- Ability to create and manage network support documentation
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus
- Networking certification preferred: Network / Cisco CCNP Cisco Certified Network Professional / CWT Certified Wireless Technician/ Security
- CCNA or CCNP Certification
