Purpose
The HR Business Partner - Compliance and Risk (HRBP-CR) serves as a strategic partner to leadership within a defined region, providing HR guidance and support to drive business objectives. This role is responsible for aligning HR initiatives with business strategies, fostering a positive work culture, and ensuring compliance with company policies, employment laws, and risk management practices. Additionally, this role leads efforts related to compliance, risk management, benefits administration, and workplace safety. The HRBP-CR will work remotely when not traveling and will be expected to visit communities within their defined region at least twice per year.

Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on compliance, risk management, and benefits administration.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, regulatory compliance, and risk management best practices.
- Experience in associate relations, investigations, and organizational development.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in HR systems, benefits platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with all levels of leadership and associates.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel 30-40% within the designated region.
- Acceptable driving record (required driver).
Areas of Primary Responsibility
- Collaborate with regional leadership to develop and implement HR strategies focused on compliance, risk management, and benefits administration.
- Provide guidance and support on workforce planning, talent management, associate relations, performance management, and organizational development.
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and associates on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across the region.
- Conduct audits and investigations to assess compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Legal and HR leadership teams to develop and implement policies and processes that mitigate organizational risk.
- Provide oversight and support for benefits administration, ensuring associates understand benefit offerings and enrollment processes.
- Serve as a resource for associates on leaves of absence, FMLA, PWFA, ADA accommodations, and workers’ compensation.
- Monitor and address workplace safety and risk management issues, working with leadership to foster a safe and compliant work environment.
- Support change management efforts to enhance organizational effectiveness and cultural transformation.
- Assist the SVP of HR and others in researching and developing new policies and risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead or participate in special HR projects, cross-functional initiatives, and process improvement efforts.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and adherence to regulatory and company standards across the region.
- Attend regional meetings and conferences as needed.
