Position Summary Information
Position Purpose
The Director for the Office of Teacher Preparation, Clinical, Practice, and Certification is part of the larger university-wide commitment to the strategic enrollment management process and quality assurance of educator preparation programs to national accreditor, PDE, Middle States, and various stake holder and constituent groups. Reporting to the Dean, the incumbent in this position is a member of the College of Arts, Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences administrative team and serves in a leadership role in advancing the College's priorities and commitment to high-quality service delivery in support of students and field and clinical experiences as part of their academic programs to become certified professionals. The Directorwill be responsible for providing leadership and coordination for student teaching and educational field and clinical experiences within CU Educator Preparation Programs. The Director will serve as a liaison among local and regional PK-12 school administrators, teachers, university faculty members, university managers, and EPP students. The Director will work collaboratively with the Assistant Director of the OTPCPC office who is overseeing the OTPCPC Offices as Lock Haven and Mansfield campuses. The Director and Assistant Director will also work together to support the role of compliance required by PDE for students and alumni to apply for educator certification and licensure including assurance for support of students taking Praxis or other examinations. The Director will assist with USDOE institutional reporting e.g. (Title II) and play a key role in compliance through accreditation and competencies at the national and state levels through oversight of field and clinical experiences and PK-12 partner / clinical educators.

Background Clearances
Offers of employment are conditional, pending successful completion of the background clearances mandated by Act 153 of 2014 and Board of Governors Policy 2014-01-A : Protection of Minors.
