What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Procurement Director (Remote) position at CommScope?

Driven by a collective sense of integrity, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the global category strategy for all electronic and mechanical components win encompassing all aspects of business, category, and supply base management with direct materials spend $1 billion. In a collaborative effort, you will continually develop subject-matter-expertise, remain current on competitors, suppliers, pricing trends, and industry-standard methodologies. This role can be located in the US although preference will be given to Suwanee, GA or Horsham, PA.
How You'll Help us Connect The World :
You will be instrumental in the development and execution of effective sourcing strategies, data driven supplier selection processes, identifying supply chain related risks and provide recommendations on mitigation and collaboration with business partners supporting cost reduction activities. We will look to you to ensure that the Global Procurement strategy is aligned with the our Business Unit's and Operations strategic objectives. More specifically, this includes:
• Defining overall procurement strategic direction for planning, organizing, leading, measuring, and analyzing the sourcing of direct materials globally. Continuous review and analysis of the strategy is required to accommodate changes in market dynamics. Help formulate strategy, recommend & implement solutions and adjust according to demands.
• Develop and implement on key strategic programs and projects to align with the needs of the business.
• Contributes to the planning, development, communication, and implementation of Commscope's Global BU Procurement activities working closely with site and category purchasing teams.
• Plans, develops and implements business plans and budgets, including long-range objectives, performance goals and metrics for each category by collaborating with Operations, Legal, Supply Chain and other teams as needed to champion cross-functional sourcing initiatives base.
• Supervises and approves the planning process with Category Managers in developing and recommending sourcing solutions and execution of standard methodologies for the assigned categories
• Directly manages complex negotiations with suppliers that require a detailed strategic plan and have a direct correlation with operational needs goals
• Provides continuous leadership, oversight of work quality and constructive feedback to the distributed team
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
• A completed bachelor’s degree and 10 or more years of proven experience in procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or related field required.
• Successful and dynamic management experience leading a global team
• Expert knowledge in the electronic component supply chain is critical to this role

Anticipated annual base salary range: Dependent on experience and qualifications: $155,000 - $225,000.
