CommuniCare is looking to fill a key position of Division Director of Workforce Management for our Maryland facilities.
Purpose/belief Statement
The Division Director of Workforce Management provides workforce planning support to the division for Direct Care Nursing and Culinary staff to ensure that sufficient members of staff are on duty to provide quality resident care at all times. This is primarily a labor management position highly focused on scheduling, day to day staffing, and management of the daily staffing through our scheduling system. Smartlinx knowledge is highly preferred.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct the facility level Workforce Manager at each location.
- Direct, monitor, train, and assist with the maintenance of the master staffing schedule.
- Communicate continuously with facility administration or designee to ensure coordination of information and maintain accuracy of nursing and culinary schedules.
- Provide support to facilities to follow process to align actual hours to budget and control labor.
- Follow established HPPD budget as designated assignment or work with designated buildings to provide support.
- Ensure that Facility Workforce Manager follows center policies and procedure for use of agency and in-house pool.
- Assist with coverage for open Workforce Manager positions throughout the company.
- Provide companywide training and support as needed.
- Create and maintain forms necessary for completion of Senior Workforce Manger’s task.
- High School diploma or GED required; BS or BA degree preferred.
- Prior scheduling/workforce management experience is a must, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Operational and/or Nursing Home Administrator experience is a plus.
- Smartlinx knowledge required.
- Must be willing to travel for field based required work when needed.
- Understanding of resident rights and care procedures and standards, within the scope of workforce management
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Willingness and ability to be flexible in new methods and principles, as well as willingness to incorporate them into existing practices
- Computer literacy and skills including Microsoft software including but not limited to Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Prior Scheduling software experience (OnShift or other scheduling tools)
- Ability to openly communicate at all levels of the organization
