POSITION TITLE: Behavioral Health Clinician, Woodland Community College

LOCATION: Woodland Community College; Woodland, CA
SCHEDULE: Full Time: Monday- Friday

JOB SUMMARY: The Behavioral Health Clinician offers on-campus behavioral health services to students at Woodland Community College, provides outreach and education on campus about mental health and substance use disorders, and works collaboratively with campus and county partners to ensure program success.
Education, Experience, Training
Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 codes.
Able to proficiently engage and provide care to patients by way of HIPAA complaint telehealth/video-based services and fully participate in video-based meetings and trainings.
Duties And Responsibilities
Provide in-person and telehealth-based assessment, triage, crisis support, and individual and/or group sessions imbedded on site at Woodland Community college for students experiencing mental health symptoms in a trauma-informed and culturally responsive manner.
Coordinate referrals for higher levels of care when indicated.
Collaborate with nurse practitioner or physician assistant, nurse, and community engagement coordinator, and Woodland Community College faculty and staff to provide and coordinate care for students experiencing mental health symptoms and conditions, including substance use disorders.
Provide group-based psychoeducation and presentations to different classes/groups across Woodland Community College.
Participate in college events, activities, and orientations to promote behavioral health services and connect with students and staff.
Work with Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program, CalWORKS, Youth and Family Services and other CommuniCare OLE programs to facilitate timely transfer of care and follow-up services.
Effectively utilize measurement-based care practices to determine client progress, wellness and risk factors; collect required departmental pre/mid/post health screenings (e.g., PHQ9).
Complete clinical documentation within 48 hours of services in accordance with working hours, all documentation must comply with Medi-Cal and Beacon Health guidelines. Participate in peer chart reviews and other quality improvement efforts.
Manage daily schedule of 6-10 students per day based on working hours, meetings, campus events, and supervision (as applicable).
Offer regular updates to nurse practitioner or physician assistant, nurse, and community engagement coordinator, and Woodland Community College faculty as to the status of referrals, scheduling requests, client prognosis, and attendance as clinically indicated and with client permission.
Manage complex caseload and administrative duties in a student health center setting.
Learn and understand billing structure; correctly utilize and interpret ICD10 and DSM5 codes and criteria.
Respond to calls, emails, and other correspondence from internal and external partners in a timely and professional manner.
Monitor client charts to ensure the timely placement of all correspondence, completes all screening and data collection tools, tracks caseload, and completes discharges according to protocol and best practices.
Maintains current license or registration in good standing, submits all CEU and training certifications to HR.
Comply with all legal, ethical, and agency expectations that govern the delivery of mental health services and the profession.
Attend meetings and trainings are required.

- LMFT/LCSW/LPCC: $84,780.80 to $103,625.60 annually

- Registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences APCC/LPCC, AMFT/LMFT, ASW/LCSW.. Will consider student with degree in progress based on experience.
- Experience serving students in a campus-based setting strongly preferred.
- Bilingual strongly preferred .
- Must provide current driver’s license and auto insurance, ability to travel in Yolo County (West Sacramento, Davis, Woodland).
