Key Responsibilities:
- Provide project estimates as requested by the sales department.
- Develop effective build strategies based on design drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with the Detailer to ensure accurate and efficient AutoCAD drawings for fabrication.
- Oversee production workflow, materials allocation, and build sequencing to meet deadlines.
- Work hands-on with the fabrication team to resolve technical challenges and improve build methods.
- Maintain quality control throughout the fabrication process, ensuring exhibits meet design intent and structural integrity.
- Communicate with project managers to align production schedules with client expectations and deadlines.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in exhibit fabrication, cabinetry, scenic construction, or a related field.
- Strong ability to read and interpret design drawings, blueprints, and construction documents.
- Experience working with various materials, including wood, metal, plastics, and laminates.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and troubleshooting fabrication challenges.
- Leadership experience with the ability to guide and motivate a production team.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in exhibit or trade show industry production.
- Background in millwork, cabinetry, or set building.
- Experience with CNC machinery and production automation tools.
- Ability to run a forklift and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
