Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia, seeks compassionate, caring, and dedicated individuals to become full-time Direct Support Professionals, internally known as Behavior Techs. In this role, you will support clients living with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges residing in our Youth Crisis Therapeutic Home (YCTH) located in Culpeper, VA. *This position comes with a sign-on and retention bonus of $2000*
We are currently hiring for the following schedules:
Wednesday - Saturday, 1pm-11pm
Sunday, Monday 7a-7p and Tuesday, Thursday 3p-11p
Wednesday, Thursday 11p-7a and Friday, Saturday 7p-7a
Sunday, Monday 7p-7a and Tuesday, Wednesday 11p-7a
What You’ll Do
The Behavior Technician (BT) supports individuals at the YCTH with co-occurring disabilities and/or behavioral health needs. This role involves facilitating daily programs and groups, leading rehabilitative activities, implementing therapeutic interventions, and assisting with personal care. As a member of the REACH team, the BT collaborates with PCPs, community crisis services, and the families of participants referred to the home.

What We’re Looking For
To join our team as a Behavior Technician (BT) you must have experience working with IDD/Behavioral Health (BH) disorders. We also require the following:
- Minimum education levels with BH experience:
- BT I: High School diploma and behavior health experience
- BT II: Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field, or QMHP (trainee), or qualify for QMHP
- Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
