Duties and Responsibilities:
- To cover all assigned shifts in foster home (nontraditional hours).
- To provide a safe physical/emotional environment.
- To provide supervision of activities when needed.
- To help develop and carry-out treatment goals for individual clients as outlined in treatment plans and/or ISP goals and objectives
- Develop specific behavioral plan with client, foster parent and social worker to address behaviors within the home and community settings
- To recognize and confront inappropriate behavior and redirect clients according to treatment goals and house standards.
- Assist in transitioning youth and families from homes.
- Maintain cultural competency in working with a variety of families
- To encourage input and participation in house routines and to encourage integration within the community.
- Ability to set limits and to form appropriate relationships with clients.
- Provide transportation for clients as needed.
- Crisis management
- To attend weekly meetings, in-service trainings, and orientation programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid driver's license and transportation
- Own reliable transportation
- Bilingual (Spanish) a HUGE plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
