Job Type Full-timeDescriptionAs a Workforce Career and Education Outreach Specialist you will : - Deliver information on opportunities and training requirements in high-growth and high-demand occupations to students and opportunity youth using Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) resources and other tools.- Conduct classroom presentations to train students and district staff on career tools and labor market navigation.- Organize and collaborate on workshops and career fairs with school and community partners, utilizing resources like the Labor Market and Career Information (LMCI) website.- Work with Workforce Programs to enhance access to educational outreach opportunities for CIS youth.- Identify in-school and opportunity youth who meet high-risk categories for WIOA eligibility and facilitate internal referrals.- Coordinate with Workforce staff and CIS Site Coordinators to tailor presentations to meet the case management needs of CIS youth related to employment and education.- Foster connections with local and rural employers to develop internships for CISHOT Work Experience programming.- Ensure Workforce files / documentation are implemented and compliant with contract requirement.Minimum Requirements : Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or related field or equivalent experience required. Master's in Social Work or Counseling preferred. Spanish speaking desirable.At least (2) years Case Management experience requiredExcellent written and oral presentation skills requiredExperience in workforce development or Career and Technical Education (CTE) preferred3-5 years' work experience in the fields of human services, social work, non-profit settings or working with youthFamiliarity with processing software programs (such as Microsoft Office) and case management softwareUses person first language and exhibits competency in diversity awarenessExcellent organizational skills with the ability to plan and implement social service programs.Strong relationship building skills.Effective intervention, advocacy, and negotiation skills.Must complete and clear Criminal Background Check.Salary Description $42,500 - $46,000 annual
