Direct Support Professionals – Lawton
Community Access is immediately hiring for Direct Support Professionals (HTS) in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Wages:
Hourly Wage $12 - $13.50, depending on how much OKDHS/DDS mandated training is completed when hired.
SIGN ON BONUS- $750.00 after 90 days of continuous employment, terms and conditions apply.
Ideal candidates may have experience working with people with disabilities in some capacity, be independent decision makers, possess a calm and soothing demeanor, and, most importantly, have compassion, patience, and a drive to help those in need. Direct Support Professionals will have the empathy and patience to work with these people from the belief that they do as well as they can and need improving their skills (with support) to be successful at home and in the community. Flexibility and adaptability are a must, as well as a high level of emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and an ability to be influential and persuasive based on the best interest of the residents.
Services Provided 365 days per year, 24 hours per day.
Duties include, but are not limited to, supervision and care for people living in their homes. This includes cooking, assisting with chores (cleaning), participating in activities, medication administration, and be a positive role model in all situations. Documentation of all necessary logs, medication, sleep, meals, vital signs, and progress notes to name a few.
Requirements:
Driver’s License
High School Diploma/GED
Ability to pass a criminal background check
