The Community Resource Specialist will work as an integral member of the CALL staff to provide confidential, appropriate, unbiased health and human service information, referral and advocacy to individuals and professionals in the communities we serve by telephone, email, chat, text, social media, mail and in person. They will provide comprehensive information and referral via our 2-1-1 service to residents in seven counties and will provide Specialized Senior Information and Assistance to residents in Muskegon, Oceana and Ottawa counties. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Information & Assistance

  • Provide comprehensive health and human service information and referral for all residents of CALL's service region.
  • Offer specialized information, assistance, and referral for age-specific inquiries and Senior Services for Muskegon, Oceana and Ottawa counties.
  • Utilize the information and referral database platform and other systems to collect, enter and update caller/contact information in compliance with contract and reporting requirements stipulated by agency and funding partners.

Community Engagement

  • Share information with individuals and community agencies concerning the availability, purpose, and extent of CALL's services

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in social work, sociology, psychology or a human services related field is required.
  • Experience in human services or working with older adults is helpful.
  • Must have valid Michigan driver's license, reliable transportation and provide current proof of automobile insurance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.26 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
