What You’ll Do as a DSP: As a DSP at CAS, you will:
- Provide direct support to individuals in their daily activities, including personal care, household tasks, and community outings.
- Encourage and facilitate the development of life skills to promote independence.
- Advocate for the rights, choices, and needs of the individuals you support.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that aligns with CAS's mission and values.
- Assist with transportation, medication administration, and documentation as needed.
- Celebrate successes, big and small, and make every day meaningful.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in caregiving or social work is beneficial but not necessary – we offer comprehensive training!
- A compassionate, patient, and dedicated approach, with a strong commitment to advocating for individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and eligibility to drive for the company.
- Ability to successfully pass a national background check.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform other related tasks.
