Community Action Agency of Greater Kansas City is a nonprofit organization providing programs and services to low-income residents of Jackson, Platte and Clay counties, Missouri.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Work, Sociology, or related filed
- Five (5) years of related function of ensuring compliance to grants
- Exceptional database management system and quality control experience
- Strong writing skills
- Good numerical skills and understanding of mathematical formulas
- Excellent listening and assessment skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Some evenings and weekends required occasionally
- Reliable transportation, valid driver license and maintain active car insurance
Essential Job Functions:
- Monitor program operations to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines and policies
- Ensure all eligibilities and criteria for programs and services are met
- Evaluate the quantity and quality of program operations are documented as specified by funding source
- Work closely with department manager and leadership team to build evaluation tools for programs and communicate internal and external results
- Create and file appropriate compliance reports
- Conduct internal investigation of compliance issues and identify critical control points and preventive measures
- Identify organizational training needs to build professional development
- Merit audit responses to findings and recommendations
- Routinely report the effectiveness of departments, programs and services through Customer Surveys, Quality Assurance Reports, Outcome of Efforts, Community Assessment Needs, to name a few
- Inquire and maintain ROMA Certification (Results-Oriented Management and Accountability)
- Adjust to frequent change in duties and procedures
- Be nonjudgmental and objective in working with clients, vendors and coworkers
- Work independently and/or team settings and adhere to deadlines
- Work efficiently and effectively in high stress situations
- Represent CAAGKC at special events, meetings and/or remote locations
- Any other duties as assigned
