We're looking for a dedicated Human Resources Manager to support our Director and help lead the daily operations of our HR department. In this key role, you'll manage benefits and retirement programs, oversee leave requests and accommodations, and contribute to a supportive, inclusive workplace.
We're looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (or 7 years of equivalent experience), along with 3-5 years of HR management experience. Specialized training in benefits, FMLA/leave, or employee relations is a big plus!

Duties/Responsibilities
Include but not limited to:
- Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and oversees benefit related employee communications and education.
- Responds to benefit inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
- Assists employees with all benefit related issues
- Ensures the accuracy of all employment data and benefits enrollments in the HRIS/ payroll system.
- Processes all enrollments and terminations with carriers and provides ongoing oversight of enrollment accuracy.
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences, disabilities, and potential accommodation requests.
- Handles the FMLA leave and PFML administration process from the employee's initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work. This includes: gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, effectively designating leave, requesting medical certification as needed, accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use, responding to PFML requests, and facilitating communication with the employee and management during the leave cycle.
- Stays up to date on all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, PFML, ADA, and state and local laws.
- Advises managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, workers' compensation, and long-term disability benefits.
- Facilitates other leave requests, which may include accommodation requests under the ADA.
- Processes workers comp claims and unemployment quests as needed.
- Plays a central role in the ongoing maintenance of personnel records in compliance with applicable state and federal requirements.
- Assists in HR's digital transformation by migrating all personnel records to the cloud-based system and assisting in the maintenance of various HR platforms as needed.
- Responsible for the implementation and ongoing oversight of cloud-based certification tracking in the HRIS.
- Assists in the new hire orientation and onboarding process.
- Assists with employee disciplinary/performance meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed.
- Serves as primary for responding to employee questions regarding human resources issues and concerns.
- Assists the HR Director in daily HR activities and administration as assigned.
- Supervise the HR Coordinator & Recruiter.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource records and issues.
- Attend and participate in departmental, organization-wide and other meetings.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; or equivalent experience in Human Resources of seven years.
- A minimum of three to five years of human resource management experience.
- Completion of specialized certification or training on benefits administration, FMLA/leave administration, employee relations and/or other areas of human resource expertise is a plus.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's various locations.
