Position: FINANCE SUPPORT SPECIALIST 2

The position is responsible for financial functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and other Federal of State regulatory guidelines for Non-Profits.

- Be able to work within an automated accounting system.
- Enter applicable data entry for compiling monthly bank reconciliations
- Run reports to update grant tracking spreadsheets used for billing purposes
- Prepare funder billing backup and applicable Accounts Receivable data entry
- Review weekly Accounts Payable data entry reports
- Serve as backup Accounts Payable regarding gathering, entering, and processing vendor payments.
- Maintain funder/vendor files by vendor and year.
- Perform other day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording various facets of the accounting system.

- Associates degree in related field or two years comparable proven experience in data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable and/or accounting.
- Basic knowledge of financial accounting principles and internal control procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- High level of interpersonal skills to communicate orally in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive personnel information.
- Ability to perform basic numerical calculations.
- Working knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e. calculator, copier, fax, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of computer and financial software (outlook, Microsoft Suite, financial software).

- Occasional travel could apply for this position, but is not typical.Travel may require the use of a personal vehicle. Mileage for the business-related use of a personal vehicle will be reimbursed at the standard mileage rate as published per IRS guidelines.
