Position Title: Family Justice Center Case Manager
Reports To: Family Justice Center Manager
Major Function: Provide quality direct services to survivors who come to the Family Justice Center, and collaborate with onsite/offsite partners to ensure wrap around services are provided.
Illustrative Duties:
- Schedule : Monday - Friday 11:00am to 7:00pm.
- Provide support, advocacy, crisis intervention, case management, and resources to survivors of domestic violence following the empowerment-based advocacy model.
- Carry an assigned caseload and meet with survivors on a regular basis to provide resources, advocacy, and ongoing safety planning.
- Complete intake process with survivor including assessments and developing a case plan.
- Answer hotline calls and assess for appropriate services and referrals, provide safety planning, while screening and pending for shelter as needed.
- Facilitate and coordinate support groups/empowerment-based workshops.
- Review all available services with survivor and link the survivor with appropriate partners.
- Work with participants to assist them in assessing their needs and goals and help them develop and implement a plan to achieve their goals.
- Assist survivors with completing the injunction packet and attend court with the survivor as needed.
- Provide participants with information about the Victim Compensation Program and the Address Confidentiality Program.
- Assist with completing housing assessments with survivors as needed.
- Coordinate and assist with transportation needs in CASA vehicles or with planning routes to utilize the bus system for survivors and their children to get to necessary appointments related to the domestic violence incident.
- Make appropriate referrals to community partners.
- Collaborate with onsite and offsite partners to ensure wrap around services are provided.
- Prepare high-risk case review and participate in high-risk case staffing’s.
- Advocate with other community agencies and the criminal justice system on participant’s behalf as needed.
- Provide back up and assistance to any program areas as requested by management.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of all areas designated for use by participants.
- Attend pertinent meetings and trainings as requested by the Program Manager.
- Respond in a timely fashion to inquiries and request from supervisor and Partner agencies.
- Complete all required paperwork, data entry, and monthly reports in a timely manner.
General:
- Understand and abide by CASA’s Confidentiality Policy and CASA’s Policies and Procedures.
- Demonstrate a commitment to treat participants, volunteers, and co-workers in a respectful manner at all times.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Assist with training and supervision of volunteers.
- Agree to work a flexible schedule, which may include changing schedules to ensure coverage, due to illness, absence, vacation other staff members. This includes working weekends or during emergency situations.
- Complete special projects and presentations as requested.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree and/or work-related certifications, or a minimum of 3 years of work-related experience, or a minimum of 6 months of demonstrated success in a related CASA direct service position.
- Experience working with survivors of domestic violence or other crisis experience preferred.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current community resources and have the ability to maintain working relationships with agencies.
- Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish).
- Agree to drive agency vehicles as needed.
- Ability to function independently and work cooperatively as a member of a team.
- Possess a valid Florida State Driver’s License to be verified on an annual basis.
- Possess the ability to climb stairs and lift at least 50 pounds.
- Agree to participate in a background check upon employment.
- All employees of CASA are considered “essential” and as such may be required to be available to remain onsite and/or required to assist during emergencies and other critical times.

Pay: $21.00 - $21.50 per hour
