PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our store locations. The Custodian will perform routine cleaning, minor repairs, and maintenance duties to support a safe and welcoming environment for customers and employees. This role includes a focus on maintenance tasks to ensure the store operates smoothly and efficiently.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Cleaning and Sanitation:
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies.
Dust and clean surfaces, fixtures, and furniture.
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
Any additional cleaning and sanitation as assigned/needed
Maintenance Tasks:
Conduct routine inspections of the store to identify maintenance needs and notify Regional Custodian.
Assist with basic maintenance tasks and work orders.
Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the Regional Custodian.
General Duties:
Ensure the store is always clean and presentable.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
Assist with the set up and dismantling of displays and fixtures as needed.
Support store operations by performing additional cleaning tasks as requested by the Store Manager.
Comply with all company policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in custodial or maintenance roles preferred.
Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks and repair techniques preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Basic understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
