PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Reporting directly to the Director of the Foundation, this role is critical in building and maintaining relationships with key donors and prospects, with a particular focus on major gift candidates and planned giving prospects. The Resource Development Director will work independently, as this position does not currently include dedicated support staff.

Fundraising Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive annual fundraising strategy to achieve or exceed the $2 million revenue goal.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of major gift donors and prospective planned giving supporters.
Prospect Development:
- Research and identify prospective donors, leveraging data analysis and networking strategies to expand the donor base.
- Build tailored cultivation plans for individual donors, aligning their philanthropic interests with organizational priorities.
Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong, personalized relationships with current and prospective donors through regular communication, meetings, and events.
- Effectively articulate and strategically promote the Capital organization’s mission, goals, and impact to inspire donor support.
Planned Giving:
- Actively promote and develop planned giving opportunities with an emphasis on long-term donor engagement and legacy giving. Work in tandem with the Director of Philanthropy and General Counsel.
Database Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the database.
- Use data analysis to track fundraising performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions.
Public Presence and Networking:
- Represent CommunityAid at events, meetings, and in the community to build awareness and attract support.
- Cultivate a visible presence among community leaders, organizations, and philanthropic networks.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of seven years of hands-on fundraising experience, with a proven track record of major gift solicitation and achieving revenue goals.
Skills:
- Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage donors at all levels.
- Strong analytical abilities, including expertise in donor database management and data-driven decision-making.
- Comfort with public speaking and representing the organization in professional settings.
- Proficiency in leveraging networking opportunities to expand donor engagement.

Work Environment and Hours:
