GIS/IT Technician I or II
Community and Development Services, an agency of the City of Hopkinsville and the County of Christian, Kentucky, has an opening for a GIS/IT Technician I or II.
The GIS/IT Technician I requires an Associate Degree in Science, Geography, Planning Engineering or closely related field with at least two (2) years’ experience or a B.S. with no experience, with a hiring range of $47,250 to $61,950.
The GIS/IT Technician II requires an B.S. Science, Geography, Planning Engineering or closely related field with three (3) years’ experience or a Master’s Degree with one (1) year experience with a hiring range of $60K to $70K.
Summary of duties: Under administrative direction, oversees, supervise and coordinates the CDS Geographic Information System (GIS) activities and operations; coordinates assigned activities with other division, outside agencies and the general public; and provides highly responsible and complex staff assistance to the CDS Director.
