We are currently seeking an Adolescent Residential Program Supervisor in our Fort Dodge location. Our Substance Abuse Treatment for Adolescent Recovery and Success (STARS) program serves clients ages 12-17. The person in this role oversees the entire program, including direct supervision of counselors and direct care staff as well as managing client needs and ensuring quality treatment is being provided. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the clinical operation and functioning of program in accordance with the Iowa Health and Human Services Licensure Standards, CARF standards, and Managed Care Contracts.
- Manage crisis calls, evaluations, treatment planning, case management, and referrals on all adolescent clients and family members engaging in residential services of CFR.
- Responsible for delivery of treatment activities to clients in light of such treatment plans through the supervision of other staff at CFR.
- Responsible directly or by designation for seeing that appropriate records, including medical and others are kept in accordance with outlined procedures.
- Supervise staff, including training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Assist the program in developing policies and procedures relating to the assessment, treatment, levels of care determination for adolescent clients, and assist and advise clinical staff in total client care management.
- Assist with budget development, monitoring, and performance.
- Maintain all contract compliance for the Adolescent Residential Treatment Program.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral sciences or related field required.
- Current certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC or IADC) in Iowa is required.
- Three years of experience as a full-time substance use counselor or similar program AND three years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
