We are seeking candidates for an Outpatient Addiction Treatment Counselor for our Extended Outpatient level of care. This position involves carrying a caseload and facilitating groups each week plus individual sessions with your clients. This position will be primarily located in Des Moines, IA. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in the development, coordination, and evaluation of the treatment program.
- Conducts individual, family, and group sessions consistent with treatment plans.
- Provides clients and families with referral resources for the services not provided by this agency or when this agency’s services are not appropriate.
- Maintains timely and accurate documentation reflective of client treatment plans and progress.
Schedule:
- Type: Full-time
- Hours: Monday-Thursday(10am-8pm)
Education and Experience Qualifications:
- Candidates must have active certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (tCADC, CADC, or IADC).
- Bachelors degree in a related field is required. Candidates with an Associates degree and 3 years of experience as a substance use or gambling treatment counselor may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
- It is not required, but we highly value candidates with their own personal experience in recovery!
