Duties And Responsibilities
- Safeguards client’s record confidentiality and secure storage to meet HIPAA guidelines and standards.
- Compile, process, and maintain clients’ records in a manner consistent with administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the Agency.
- Process, maintain, compile, and report client information for health requirements and standards.
- Plan and implement quality assurance for all processes.
- Ensures that the client records contain accurate information and that services are appropriately documented in the record.
- Provides coding or data entry backup when indicated by departmental needs.
- Assemble clients’ information, making sure that clients’ charts are complete, that all forms are completed, and that all necessary information is in the computer.
- Close and Scan files for Archiving purposes into the medical records system.
- May regularly communicate with Agency staff to clarify information or to obtain additional information for inclusion in the client record.
- Assist the Receptionist by filling in on the main multi-line switchboard during breaks, lunches, sick days, vacations, or as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and clerical skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and following directions.
- Proficient with PC stand computer operations (Word, Excel & Adobe applications).
- Ability to operate standard office machines and equipment.
- Able to bend, lift and or carry up to 50 pounds.
- One (1) to Three (3) years of job-related data entry / clerical experience.
- Proof of High School Diploma or equivalent must be provided.
Salary : $16 - $17
