Primary Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Compliance Inspector Manager, the Compliance Inspector is responsible for the enforcement of Homeowner Associations community covenants by conducting periodic inspections of homes, home lots and the surrounding common areas. Inspections are conducted using the company’s vehicle, as well as walking communities, while utilizing the company’s technology to capture the current state of properties. Inspectors will create and issue violations to homeowners that may be out of compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of home lots and homes.
- Identify violations in accordance with each respective community’s governing documents and Board requests.
- Respond to and investigate allegations of violations.
- Communicate violations through letters to homeowners and monitor for resolution.
- Reinspect properties to ensure that any previously identified violations have been corrected.
- Maintain documentation with supporting evidence to track violation remediation.
- Establish and maintain good relations with Community Managers to communicate violation processes and statuses.
- Establish and adhere to drive orders for inspection schedule.
- Prepare and provide weekly and monthly reports regarding the results of all assigned inspections.
- Utilize and properly maintain all company assigned technology and equipment.
- Maintain company vehicle, to include monthly upkeep, mileage reporting and scheduled maintenance.
- Track expenses and reconcile expense reports each month.
