Job Summary
The Marketing Specialist will manage and grow our social media presence, focusing on organic follower growth and engagement across multiple platforms. This role will involve creating compelling content for social media, video, blogs, and podcasts and assisting the Marketing Director with basic website SEO. In addition, you will have opportunities to host and manage online educational events and podcasts.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Marketing:
- Develop and implement organic social media strategies across platforms, focusing on follower growth and engagement.
- Create, schedule, and publish posts on social media channels.
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance.
Paid Advertising:
- Plan, create, and monitor paid campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms as needed.
- Optimize ad performance to maximize reach and ROI.
Content Creation:
- Assist in creating and editing written content for social media posts, blogs, and podcast scripts.
- Develop video content to drive social media engagement.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and create high-quality, brand-aligned content.
- Use AI tools to enhance and streamline content creation as appropriate.
Analytics:
- Utilize Google Analytics 4 to monitor, analyze, and report on website traffic, engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
- Track user behavior.
- Identify trends and provide insights for data-driven decision-making.
SEO Support:
- Work with the Marketing Director to optimize website content by adding metadata and SEO keywords.
- Conduct keyword research to identify valuable SEO opportunities as needed.
Webinar and Podcast Hosting:
- Introduce bank, credit union, and hospice webinars and podcasts following prepared scripts, managing the Q&As, polls, and chats.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience:
- 2 years in social media marketing, specifically in organic growth and paid ads on Facebook and Instagram.
- Marketing Degree Preferred.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of video creation tools and social media best practices.
- Comfortable using AI to assist with content creation.
- Proficient in creating engaging written content for various platforms.
Bonus Skills:
- Marketing analysis, including tracking campaign performance and identifying growth opportunities.
- Customer service: answering phones, emails, and online chat support.
