Position Description
The Director of Field Support at Community Bible Study (CBS) is a passionate advocate for global disciple-making of adults and children. The Director provides leadership for the support services that allow the Chief Field Ministry Officer (CFMO) to focus on ministry strategy and shepherding. The Director is a key partner in the management of global initiatives and projects and is responsible for working with seven Regional Directors and their teams to implement policies, strategies, and systems. This position will lead a small staff team and will need to build effective working relationships with the Regional Directors, their teams, CBS volunteers, and Ministry Service Center staff.
Responsibilities:
· General
o Advocate for biblical disciple-making of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds around the globe.
o Promote and protect the ministry vision, mission, and values to staff, leaders, donors, class participants, and other constituents.
o Assist the CFMO, willing to do what’s needed to ensure healthy global operations of the ministry, etc.
o Uphold the field ministry, leaders, and projects in prayer.
o Serve as member of CBS leadership team, attend meetings and contribute to the team and direction of the ministry.
· Lead Field Support Team
o Advise, shepherd, and provide leadership for the Field Support Team.
o Continually analyze processes and systems, identify areas for improvement, and lead change initiatives.
o Work collaboratively with the Operations Teams at the MSC to accomplish goals.
o Work collaboratively with regional support teams to accomplish goals and ensure the regional teams are trained and supported in their roles.
o Oversee security for travelers and assist with leadership of the Crisis Response Team.
o Document operational ministry processes and ensure compliance with the same.
o Maintain and revise ministry documentation and manuals in order to keep them as simple and effective as possible. Recommend and implement changes when warranted.
o Oversee the ongoing Intl Ambassador screening and training, ensuring with the support team that all elements are up to date.
· Assist the CFMO in providing field leadership through the Global Servants Team (GST)
o Attend and assist with planning, building an agenda, and leading GST meetings.
o Contribute to the spiritual and cultural formation of the GST.
o Travel periodically for GST meetings or to support Regional Leaders and offices.
o Coordinate projects with Regional Directors.
o Communicate initiatives, projects, and guidance to the field, ensuring alignment with ministry goals, mission, and vision.
o Work with Regions to implement global policies in a simple and efficient manner.
· Communications
o Coordinate communication project deadlines that impact the field, working closely with the Communications and Marketing Director and the field leaders.
o Assist with field communications, scripts, and presentations as needed.
o Oversee communication to North American Region classes through International Link and associated resources.

- Serve as lead for Field team on annual Impact Report creation and distribution, working closely with the Communications and Marketing Director and Stewardship team.
o Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing Director for necessary field ministry communications (e.g., International Letters, year-end, GWINB, Regional Newsletters, etc.).
o Create and organize International Ambassador communications.
· Field Administration
o Manage and oversee the collection of Agreements from the field (Collaboration Agreements, Translation Agreements, and Ambassador Agreements) and the data Hub in Salesforce, providing updates when needed and ensuring they are accurate.
o Manage international translations – organization, agreements, and availability.
o Liaison with Brotherhood Insurance for ministry liability and business travel policies.

- Serve as project lead for annual Country Depth Chart collection, reviewing data, working with RDs, and remote data analyst for Power BI dashboards.
o Assist with policy creation, start-up, and ongoing support of future Regional Affiliates.
o Assist with grant writing and reporting as needed.
· Finance
o Assist the CFMO and the RDs in developing the annual budget, ensuring the budget is integrated with the CBS/CBSI strategic plans.
o Serve as liaison with the Finance Team for field-related finance matters (budget creation, expense reporting, donation report distribution, wires, reports).
o Approve Field expenses.
o Assist in resolving international banking issues in collaboration with MSC Finance.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• Proficient in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office products.
Other
· This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week.
· Reports to the Chief Field Ministry Officer.
· Work Location: CBS Ministry Service Center, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
· International and domestic travel required: 2-4 annual trips, including overnight and weekend travel.
· Weekend or evening work will be required periodically.
Starting Salary Range
· Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 per year
