MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Family Practice Guilderland is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join their team! The hours are : 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm Monday-Friday.

  • This position is eligible for up to a $1,000 recruitment and retention bonus!!

Responsibilities :

  • Document verbal conversations and information into the patient records in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
  • Maintain timely patient flow.
  • Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office / provider requirements.
  • Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
  • Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
  • Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.).
  • Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

    Annual salary range : $15.50 - $22.00

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous medical / clinical experience preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
  • Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.
  • Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish / maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, members, physicians / providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
  • Knowledge of medical chart reporting / records.
  • Experience with Allscripts is a plus!
