Our Community Care Urology office in Latham is looking for a full-time Surgical Scheduler to join our team! The hours are: 7:30am - 4pm or 8am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday .
Responsibilities:
Prepares and maintains surgical schedule for procedures and work with the providers to ensure proper time allocations and smooth transitions of workflow.
Answers telephone; schedule appointments, screens calls, takes messages and provides information in accordance with established policies.
Schedules patients for surgical procedures and obtains all necessary information upon arrival of patient.
Responsible for accurately completing Physician Referrals.
Cross-trained in check in and check out duties.
Complete prior authorizations and verify patient insurance.

Annual salary range: $18.50 - 27.50

Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent with additional education desirable.
Surgical scheduling experience highly desired.
Previous clerical experience in a medical practice preferred.
Strong computer skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures preferred.
Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, family members, physicians, providers, managers, co-workers and external customers.
Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
