Position Overview: The Grants Manager is a critical administrative role within the organization, directly reporting to the Senior Director of Grants and Research. The Grants Manager must be a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional capable of managing complex administrative responsibilities with minimal supervision. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Grants Manager must independently track deadlines, oversee documentation, and ensure accuracy in all submissions, serving as the backbone of ACCF's grant funding efforts.

Reports to: Senior Director of Grants and Research


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



Grant Development and Submission

· Draft tailored proposals, LOIs, reports, and collateral materials, incorporating program budgets, timelines, goals, objectives, outcomes, and evaluation methods.

· Conduct research to identify local and national foundations and corporate funders, maintaining an active pipeline of opportunities.

· Analyze and interpret data, including census reports and program metrics, to inform grant strategies and strengthen applications.

Administrative Management

· Maintain and organize the organization's fiscal year grants calendar, ensuring timely submissions and meeting all deadlines.

· Oversee the accurate and timely uploading of supporting documentation to grant portals, ensuring compliance with funder requirements.

· Manage all grant-related files, records, and communications with exceptional attention to detail and organization.

Coordination and Communication

· Collaborate with the finance team to create accurate budgets and monitor grant expenditures.

· Coordinate grant meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned on submission timelines and responsibilities.

· Work closely with program staff to gather data, outcomes, and insights necessary for compelling reports and proposals.

Funder Engagement and Stewardship

· Cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with current and prospective funders through personalized communication, including letters, emails, and phone calls.

· Act as the main point of contact for agency tours, providing funders with insight into ACCF's impact and programs.

· Participate in weekly operations and facilities meetings to stay informed about programming and capital needs.


Requirements:

Education and Experience Requirements


· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a master's degree preferred.· 2-5 years of experience managing the full grant lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and writing proposals to overseeing grant compliance and reporting.· In-depth understanding of grant-making principles, compliance, and regulations.· Proficiency in grant management software and strong skills in creating detailed reports and budgets using tools like Excel.· Knowledge of diverse funding sources for nonprofits, including family foundations and corporate contributions.


Essential Skills and Qualifications

Strong administrative skills, including file management, tracking systems, and deadline prioritization.· Highly skilled in project management and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.· Skilled writer and ability to develop persuasive proposals with meticulous attention to detail.· Experienced with cloud-based collaboration and document storage and demonstrates a quick aptitude for learning new software and technology. · Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, capable of working independently.· Strong analytical, writing, and research skills.
