Job Summary
Action Health Partners is a non-profit organization with 20 employees that are dedicated to educating, supporting, and empowering individuals to improve quality of life and well-being for members of our communities. Due to growth, we have added a new position for a Program Support Specialist.
This is a hybrid employment opportunity where much of the work is done via a combination of home-based work and field (in the Wenatchee region) and office work.
The Program Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for healthcare and program coordination, who can contribute to the successful execution of evidence-based interventions that positively impact community health outcomes.
Primary Duties:
1. Program Development and Implementation:
- Assist Program Manager(s) in program development including Outreach and Open Enrollment events. This involves sending invitations and tracking RSVPs to events.
- Coordinate program activities, including scheduling meetings, program presentations.
2. Training and Capacity Building:
- Assist SHIBA Program Manager with in-person counseling and calls.
- Provide back up coverage for Office Manager.
- Help troubleshoot issues with volunteer equipment on-site and/or over the phone.
- Promote and conduct outreach for AHP Community Health Education Programs.
- Build relationships with community partners.
3. Data Management and Analysis:
- Understand and execute contract/grant stipulations, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate data collection processes, including organizing data, conducting data entry, and maintaining data quality within STARS software.
- Have a good understanding of HIPAA privacy and security standards. Ensure security and confidentiality of Protected Health Information where applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Associate of Arts or Bachelor of Arts from accredited college or university in health education, public health, or other related fields with experience. Or, equivalent combination of education/significant experience in community, social services, humanities or other related fields.
- Training/Experience in patient health counselling.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
- General knowledge of health care, managed care, healthcare Information Systems and technologies.
- Experience in health/social services and marketing.
- Experience and comfort presenting to groups.
- Experience with Chronic Condition evidence-based programs.
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
Environmental Factors
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Have speech, visual, and hearing skills sufficient to interact with staff and customers.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Must be able to travel as needed.
- Must have ability to lift 25 pounds.
