Job Title: Community College Nursing Program Director

Job Summary: The Community College Nursing Program Director is responsible for the overall administration, leadership, and management of the nursing program. This role ensures the program meets the standards set by the Arizona State Board of Nursing and maintains accreditation. The administrator will oversee curriculum development, faculty recruitment, student admissions, and program evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Administration: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the nursing program. Ensure compliance with Arizona State Board of Nursing regulations and accreditation standards.
- Curriculum Development: Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing curriculum to ensure it meets educational standards and prepares students for licensure.
- Faculty Management: Recruit, hire, and mentor nursing faculty. Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
- Student Admissions and Support: Develop and implement policies for student admissions, progression, and graduation. Provide support and guidance to students throughout their educational journey.
- Program Evaluation: Conduct regular program evaluations to assess effectiveness and make improvements. Prepare and submit reports to the Arizona State Board of Nursing and accrediting bodies.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the program budget. Ensure resources are allocated effectively to support program goals.
- Community Engagement: Foster relationships with healthcare organizations, community partners, and other stakeholders to enhance program visibility and student opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Doctorate in Nursing or Nursing Education preferred. Master's degree in nursing required.
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in nursing education, including administrative or leadership roles.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of nursing education standards, Arizona State Board of Nursing regulations, and accreditation processes.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with diverse groups.
Additional Requirements:
- Board Approval: Must meet the qualifications set forth by the Arizona State Board of Nursing for nursing program administrators.
- Professional Development: Must have 1200 hours of teaching experience.

Pay: $72,103.00 - $76,412.00 per year
