Job Summary
Community Clinic is seeking a nurse to work as our Vaccine and Supply Coordinator covering all of our locations in Northwest Arkansas and Northeast Oklahoma. This role is responsible for the inventory, formulary, and compliance of our vaccine programs and supplies. They will also train & educate staff and serve as a liaison with public agencies. This is a full-time M-F position with no nights or weekends except in case of an emergency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee vaccine storage, handling, and inventory management to ensure proper conditions and minimize waste.
- Train and educate healthcare staff on vaccine administration, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, and other immunization guidelines and regulations. Train on-site staff for downtime response and follow up.
- Coordinate immunization programs, including patient outreach and education.
- Stay updated on immunization schedules, guidelines, and new vaccines.
- Maintain all policies, protocols, and procedures related to vaccine administration.
- Maintain inventory software, and ensure product and medication formularies are up to date and maintained.
- Respond in a timely manner to storage or supply emergencies (e.g. power outages, severe weather).
Qualifications
- RN or LPN required, RN preferred
- 2 years of experience in project or vaccine management strongly preferred.
- Experience in community based immunization programs preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds will be necessary for success.
