What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator, Adjunct Faculty and Instruction position at Community College of Baltimore County?
The purpose of this class is to oversee the recruitment, training, and evaluation of Continuing Education adjunct faculty, departmental communications related to Continuing Education adjunct faculty, and support faculty, staff, and students with instruction-related tasks.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, communications, or a related field, and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in education, human resources, and/or administration is required. Prior experience as an adjunct instructor/faculty or supervisor of adjunct instructors/faculty, and knowledge of training methods and techniques is preferred.
- Coordinate a functional process within an assigned College department or division.
- Assist upper management in developing policies and procedures; monitors compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintains department records and files, as required.
- Conduct and attend meetings, as required.
- Supervise, advise, and evaluate assigned staff, as required.
- Prepare, analyze and provide reports on miscellaneous subjects, as requested.
