The Evening & Weekend Extension Center Coordinator enhances the functioning of the extension center by working with individuals, groups, offices, and the campus as a whole. Key roles include coordination, facilitation, and/or leadership of efforts involving evening/weekend classes and events.Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four (4) years of education, administration, and/or coordination experience. Master’s degree preferred. Three years accelerated clerical experience either as an Office Manager or in a Supervisory position required.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction for the evening and weekend extension center community.
- Provide support for internal and external community events that occur during evenings and weekends.
- Provide administrative support for the implementation of college policies and practices.
- Assist faculty, staff and students during and after class.
- Serve as a liaison in coordinating supportive college services to help meet the needs of faculty, staff, students and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, visitors and the external community.
- Work closely with Public Safety to ensure the safety of all.
- Provide leadership in emergency situations to ensure the integrity of the facility and safety of the people within.
- Provide support and/or coverage at other Extension Centers, as required.
