What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Obstetrics, Faculty-10-month position at Community College of Baltimore County?
The 10-month Nursing Program faculty member is responsible for teaching both didactic and clinical instruction in the nursing program. Teaching responsibilities include traditional face to face format with online supplement in the day and evening/weekend program. The clinical area of focus is Maternal Newborn Nursing
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland with two (2) years of clinical experience; Master’s degree in Nursing; recent clinical experience required in Maternal Newborn area, and teaching experience preferred.
- Provide didactic and clinical instruction in the nursing program.
- Coordinate adjunct faculty assigned to nursing courses.
- Conduct simulated experiences.
- Participate in Nursing Program committees as assigned.

- Assure assigned lectures are current and contain active teaching techniques
- Serves as advisor to nursing students as assigned.
- Participates in the review of courses and curriculum.
- Perfects teaching skills by using supervisor, peer and student feedback.
- Participates in School of Health Professions activities such as School Orientation and Interdisciplinary activities.
