IT Technician (Technology Support Specialist I)
Salary Range : $23.57-$27.34 / hour
SCOPE OF WORK : Performs various technical duties in support of the River Valley Community College’s (RVCC) IT operations and provides online / remote helpdesk support for all CCSNH colleges. This position shall report to the CCSNH Regional College IT Director and will be located at RVCC.
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Works with technical staff in the repair, maintenance, installation, and evaluation of computer systems.
- Installs, configures and test software applications and utilities and maintains software on computer lab machines, as needed.
- Monitors network efficiency to resolve service delays.
- Assists with the implementation and monitoring of security measures to prevent loss of data from network resources.
- Troubleshoots computer operating systems, including investigating, identifying, and resolving problems.
- Analyzes and evaluates the computer systems to provides recommendations for improvements.
- Serves as the point person for the IT Ticketing system and works to resolve items in a timely manner.
- Supports any technical queries of students, faculty, and staff.
- Provides remote technical support for all CCSNH colleges through an online based IT ticket submission for specified functions such as MFA, password reset, general logins, and browser issues.
- Oversees the inventory management of desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, printers etc. and coordinates of IT equipment as needed.
- Conducts user training in computer issues, software, processes, emerging technologies, etc.
- Maintains awareness of current technology and provides guidance to faculty and staff.
- Assists with the documentation of IT processes, policies, and procedures.
- Works with various IT vendors / service providers for effective problem resolution.
- Complies with all system, college, state and federal rules and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : Associates degree from a recognized college (or equivalent combination of education and related experience)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Basic understanding of Student Information Systems (SIS), Learning Management System (LMS), Remote Management, NEC Phone System, Inventory management System and how Banner supports them is desired.
License / Certification : Valid Driver’s License or access to transportation for statewide travel.

Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by management.

Salary : $24 - $27
