Bus Driver
We are looking for a responsible and reliable School Bus Driver to transport Head Start students to and from Head Start centers following a scheduled route and ensuring their safety. The School Bus Driver's responsibilities include ensuring proper vehicle maintenance, observing safety and traffic rules, and maintaining order among Head Start students while they are on the bus with the assistance of a bus monitor. As a minimum requirement, Bus Driver applicant must have a high school diploma or GED and a current in-state Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with School Bus and Passenger endorsement and/or other criteria specifically required by the state. Applicants who are able to complete these requirements within a reasonable time after hire may also be considered. Pre-employment and random drug testing required.
Custodian
We are looking for a responsible and reliable Custodian to join our team and ensure a clean, safe, and functional facility by performing cleaning and maintenance activities as well as some repair activities including plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting when professional licensure is not required. This is an essential role in maintaining a safe and clean environment for our infants and toddlers in our Early Head Start Center. As a minimum requirement, the applicant must be 18 years of age. This is an entry-level position requiring no previous education or experience unless there is a local or state regulation that requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. A high school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred. The above knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through experience in custodial, maintenance services and/or in the area of janitorial services.
