Responsibilities
Responsible for servicing all aspects of servicing, renewing and retaining current excess and surplus lines policies, as well as cross selling and account rounding current E & S base.
- 220 or 440 Florida Property and Casualty License
- Minimum three years' experience quoting, writing, and managing home, auto and boat policies.
- Experience/familiarity working with Applied EPIC operating system.
Essential Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- All aspects of maintaining existing personal lines policies for all excess and surplus lines clients including but not limited to any changes, adjustments in coverage, etc.
- Prepare all renewals for E & S clients prior to their renewal date.
- Retention of all E & S clients, including notification letter/text/phone call 45 days prior to the client's renewal date
- Be sure that all customers are educated regarding any questions they might have about their policies.
- Be sure that all transactions, conversations, etc. are promptly updated in EPIC.
- Continuously update E & S procedure with better/more efficient ways of servicing E & S clients
- Be sure EPIC is continuously updated.
- Solve client issues, elevate an issue when appropriate.
- Review all existing policies prior to their x-date to be sure there are no major changes in the customer's needs and that they are receiving the best value for their needs.
- Rewrite non renewals and cancellations when necessary.
- Handle underwriting requests on established policies.
- Cross sell current customers, home, no auto, etc.
- Quote and write overflow of new business.
- Answer client questions promptly.
- Service clients' needs that visit the office
- Constantly look for better and more efficient ways of doing things
- Apply payments
- Assist with overflow on incoming calls.
- Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner
