Responsibilities

This position will comply with bank and investor guidelines with portfolio and investor mortgage loans, conducting required functions for special asset management.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Executes claims and reporting tasks to safeguard the bank's interests by:
    • Adhering to guidelines set by investors, guarantors, and regulatory entities for accurate reporting
    • Managing audits conducted by TENA and third-party HUD quality control
    • Successfully resolving claim disputes brought by mortgage insurance, guarantors, and investor loan entities
    • Administering insurance claims for both partial and total loss scenarios
  • Overseeing the workflow for maintaining Other Real Estate Owned (OREO)
  • Assists with conducting reviews, preparing write-ups, and managing charge offs and write downs
  • Facilitating release requests by preparing, reviewing and distributing relevant documentation
  • Supporting the collection and servicing staff by performing additional duties when required
  • Other duties as assigned or directed
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner

Ancillary Duties:

  • As an integral member of the Consumer Real Estate Servicing Department, this position is responsible to assist the department, as well as the company, in achieving their annual goals


Qualifications

Education, Training and Requirements:

  • High Scholl Diploma or GED required
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older

Skills:

  • Proficient reading, writing, and grammar skills; as well as excellent mathematical skills
  • Thorough knowledge of Excel and an ability to analyze data from reports/workbooks
  • Highly organized; results driven with competency to meet demands of proficiency, effectiveness, and efficiency
  • Must be collaborative, have the ability to adapt and reprioritize, and have an independently objective mindset
  • Proficient communicative skills
  • Must be able to consistently demonstrate the Company's core values: integrity, excellence, teamwork, and humility

Experience:

  • Two (2) years or more with collections or servicing experience preferred


Other Job Information

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30; some weekends, evenings, and holidays

Compensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
