As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and implementing server, storage, and backup infrastructure as well as enterprise applications. This position works in an engaging team environment to install, configure, troubleshoot, manage, and monitor critical hardware and software used to service our members and employees. This role is also responsible for system monitoring and ensuring the availability and security of enterprise server, storage and backup systems to proactively identify and resolve problems. As the Systems Engineer with CFCU, you will:
- Implement, manage, monitor, and maintain servers and storage systems used to support business operations and member facing technologies such as Hyper Converged Systems, Virtualization, SAN/NAS, DFS, CIFS, and Windows operating systems
- Assist in developing plans for server, storage, and backup technologies that support business objectives, improve functionality, or provide enhancements positively impacting employee or member experiences
- Manage disaster recovery planning, design, and facilitation of server, storage, and backup/recovery systems needed to support enterprise disaster recovery needs
- Assist in the design, implementation, and integration of highly available and secure server, storage, and backup/recovery technology services
- Establish and execute standards for documenting information system designs, standards and procedures used to implement, manage, and maintain enterprise technology services
- Establish and execute standards for documenting changes to any in scope software or hardware, as well as testing of new systems and updates for enterprise technology services before they are put into production
We are looking for a combination of:
- An Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5 years of work experience with proven expertise and effectiveness
- Certifications such as MCSE, VCP, or other server, storage, or backup systems preferred
- Working knowledge of basic networking and security technologies such as TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, load balancers, and proxies
- The ability to change priorities, stay organized, and have fun
- Passion for providing outstanding service to our members – internal and external
