What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grants and Scholarship Associate position at Community Foundation for Muskegon County?
Job Summary: The Grants and Scholarship Associate is an integral part of the Community Investment team and is responsible for process management and data entry for all aspects of the Community Foundation’s grant and scholarship programs.

Essential Functions:
Provide data entry, process management, and technical support as part of the Community Investment Team:
- Work with the Scholarship and Community Investment Officer to execute the Community Foundation’s scholarship program, including application management, scoring, committee management, scholarship award entry, and reporting
- Manage competitive grant processes, including grant processing and reporting
- Processing grant and scholarship awards for payment; including performing due diligence to verify compliance with charitable organization and fund agreement guidelines
- Providing administrative support needed to maintain the scholarship and grantmaking program
- Facilitate logistics of the Community Investment Team’s meetings and events
- Provide support for grant-seekers and scholarship applicants in navigating the databases/applications
- Work with the Senior Database & Process Administrator to maintain data integrity within all software to ensure accurate, dependable reporting
- Participate in employee trainings, including diversity, equity, and inclusion training
- Undertake other activities as assigned, including support to special projects
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Strong computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Office Suite
- Experience with database management and data entry
- Willingness to become proficient with CSuite, GLM, and SLM software
- Strong organization skills, with attention to detail and a systems thinking mindset

Preferred:
- Experience and/or knowledge of the Muskegon nonprofit sector and grantmaking practices
- A minimum of an associate’s degree or three years of professional office experience
- Previous work history in the nonprofit field or administration
