Position Summary:
We are seeking a Family Practice Physician to join our team at Community Health in Castleton, Vermont. As a physician, you will be responsible for delivering primary care services and promoting wellness behaviors among patients.
- Empower patients to take an active role in health maintenance and promote wellness behaviors.
- Provide appropriate patient follow-up and communicate effectively with patients.
- Refer patients to specialty care as necessary.
- Provide clinical supervision to mid-level providers and nursing staff.
- Participate in quality assurance activities.
- Contribute to State and National disease collaborative efforts.

Castleton Clinic
The Castleton Clinic provides comprehensive primary care services, including on-site behavioral health providers, social workers, and care management. We also offer preventive programs like diabetes management and education. Our Express Care service is open seven days a week for the treatment of minor illnesses and injuries.
The town of Castleton offers a picturesque setting, with access to Lake Bomoseen and Castleton University. The nearby city of Rutland is about 20 minutes away, and the Green Mountain National Forest and ski resorts are within a 45-minute drive.
Requirements
- Favorable completion of college, medical school, internship, residency, and possibly fellowship.
- Current license to practice medicine in the State of Vermont.
- Current Board Certification within practicing specialty.
- Meeting minimum CME requirements for licensure and board certification.
- Strong inpatient skill set.
- Quality-focused team player.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
