Job scope:
As a key member of the CCC Program, helps guide people on the road to recovery with the skills and the support necessary for lasting recovery. Focuses on non-clinical issues such as housing, employment, dealing with drug court and probation officers, and locating treatment resources. Through a one-on-one relationship, helps engage people with the recovery community, including Twelve Step meetings and other support groups. Enthusiastic about providing support and recovery to patients in early recovery from substance use disorders. Demonstrates thorough understanding of stressors that can impact recovery from substance use disorders. Able to maintain patient confidentiality. Maintains knowledge about the Center's goals, supports peer values, and follows relevant ethical codes, guidelines or standards. Documents services in the appropriate electronic medical record.
Education/licensure:
Current valid driver's license in state of residence.
Graduation from High School or Equivalency
Complete Training as Recovery Coach within six months of hire.Experience/Knowledge: At least two years recovery from a substance use disorder. Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals. Demonstrates ability to construction grammatically correct descriptive
paragraphs. Ability and willingness to follow job related instructions and accept
supervision.
Physical requirements that are bona fide occupational qualifications
essential to the performance of the job: Must be able to adequately complete SAMA, First Aid and CPR tasks.
