What are the responsibilities and job description for the Calling all caregivers part time 1:1 opportunity position at Community Horizons LLC?

Here lies an incredible opportunity for you to make a profound impact in the lives of cherished individuals! As a caregiver, you will be the heart and soul of support, providing essential assistance that allows members to thrive in the warmth of their own homes.
This position is within the self-direction program. Under self-directed services, you work directly for the members requiring support, which offers more work life balance and control over your schedule. This position is hired directly by the member and not through an agency. Work directly, hands on, for your supervisor!
Hours available: Every other Saturday/Sunday, morning and afternoon shifts are available. Preference is given to someone who can attend both shifts every other weekend!
Morning shift - 7:30am - 10:30am
Afternoon shift - 3:00pm - 6:00 pm
Wage: Starting at $15.00/hour (based on experience)
Tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with general light housekeeping chores such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and dishwashing.
- Assistance with meal preparation and cleanup.
- Help with personal cares such as showering, toileting, and dressing.
- Assisting with some basic errands when needed (which may include weekly transportation to/from a local laundromat). She has her own vehicle which you may drive if she is joining for outings; a valid license is required.
Who we’re looking for:
- Applicants MUST have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable with providing transportation to the member if needed (our community neighbor has her own vehicle but requires a driver)
- Someone who is reliable, dependable, and friendly
- An acceptable background check
- Must be ok with a cat in the home
- Great communication skills and ability to take direction
