**Companion Specialist Part-Time**
A Companion Specialist is someone who enjoys engaging with others and is dedicated to positively impacting their lives. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to maintain confidentiality, as well as assertiveness to advocate for the needs of members.
This wonderful opportunity in your community is for a member seeking companionship for three hours a week. This position focuses on providing company—sharing laughter, engaging in conversation, and enjoying community outings together, without the need for hands-on care.

Available Hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 1-2 PM, allowing you to build a meaningful relationship. Hours can be discussed as relationship builds to 1 or 2 days.
Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour
Mileage Reimbursement for community outings: $0.35 per mile
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- - Engaging in activities and interactions
- - Participating in community outings
- - Providing companionship and emotional support
- - Encouraging social activities and conversations to enhance mental well-being
- -Safety in each environment
The family is looking for someone who is:
- - Assertive, reliable, dependable, and friendly
- - Able to pass an acceptable background check
- - Possessing great communication skills and the ability to follow direction
- - Knowledgeable about diabetes (preferred)
- - Effective in working with individuals with autism or other disabilities
