Mentor - Companion Part-Time

This position is part of a self-direction program, which means you would be working directly for the individual. This arrangement often results in a better work-life balance and provides a wonderful one-on-one teaching experience. The hiring process is managed by the member's family, rather than through an agency.

Available Hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 1-2 PM, allowing you to build a meaningful relationship.

Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour

Mileage Reimbursement for community outings: $0.35 per mile

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

- Engaging in activities and interactions

- Participating in community outings

- Providing companionship and emotional support

- Encouraging social activities and conversations to enhance mental well-being

-Safety in each environment

Please note that this position does not require any hands-on care or support.

Family is looking for someone who is:

- Assertive, reliable, dependable, and friendly

- Able to pass an acceptable background check

- Possessing great communication skills and the ability to follow direction

- Knowledgeable about diabetes (preferred)

- Effective in working with individuals with autism or other disabilities
